ARLINGTON -- Arlington is now home to the largest Red Cross disaster supply center in the nation.

The 174,000-foot center on New York Avenue officially opened Wednesday morning. It houses supplies to support 100,000 Americans after a disaster -- including thousands of cots, blankets, personal hygiene items, clean-up kits and more.

A total of five large 'Disaster Field Supply Centers' are located across the nation: Pennsylvania, Georgia, Missouri, Nevada -- and now in Texas.
