ARLINGTON-- Police in Arlington have identified the man who was hit by a car and killed while walking across Interstate 30.

The incident happened around midnight Wednesday near Ballpark Way, just as crowds from the Texas Rangers game were let out.

Police say a car heading west on I-30 hit JayWolf, 24, while he was walking in the road.

The driver who hit him stopped and called 911. Wolf was pronounced dead at the scene. It is unclear why he was walking on the highway, but police are investigating.

Wolf lived inAustin but hailed from Tampa Bay. Before the game he posted on his Facebook page, 'Couldn't be more excited to see my Rays play the Rangers,' along with a picture of his seat behind home plate.
