HURST-- A family in Hurst will soon be reunited with their pet pig after she was attacked by a dog and escaped a backyard.

'Molly' the pot belly pig was found roaming the streets of Hurst early Tuesday morning. A friend had been watching the pig when she escaped from the backyard.

She was apparently injured by a dog in the yard and police say she had cuts on her head and puncture wounds in her back and neck when she was found.

Molly was taken to a veterinarian and was treated overnight. Police say she is recovering well and they have contacted her owners.
