GRAND PRAIRIE Grand Prairie police said the boyfriend of 44-year-old Jennifer Krieger was arrested in New Mexico Sunday after she and her teenage daughter were found dead Sunday inside their locked home.

A family member called police shortly after 9 a.m. when they were unable to contact loved ones at one story brick residence in the 1800 block of Sandra Lane.

Officers found the two females inside after breaking in. Few details have been released, including the way they were killed.

The name of Krieger's daughter was being withheld.

"We believe it to be a family violence because the person that we have as the person of interest is related in some sort of aspect whether it's boyfriend, girlfriend, father of the child that was killed within the elements of that definition of family violence to the two that were deceased," said Grand Prairie police spokesman Lyle Gensler.

Investigators said they are treating the deaths as a double-homicide.

"From the outside, to us, it looked like they were a loving couple," said neighbor Beverly Sneed.

Neighbors said the unnamed boyfriend was a truck driver who may have recently lost his job. He was last seen leaving the home on Thursday night. He never returned.

Neighbor Shada Davis said she often saw the teenage daughter walking her dog.

"She doesn't want to talk to anyone, she would just keep to herself," Davis said. "She'll just go straight in the house, get her dog, and come right back outside."

"My heart is broken, because it involves family," said neighbor Yolanda Lang.

Grand Prairie detectives hope to interview the jailed boyfriend soon in an attempt to determine a possible motive for the crime.
