DALLAS Arrest warrants have been issued for two former Dallas Police Officers who were fired from the department Friday afternoon. Jon Llewellyn and Randolph Dillonare each charged with fabricating and/or tampering with physical evidence and aggravated perjury.

If convicted, they could face two to 10 years in prison and a fine not to exceed $10,000.

The firings forced the Dallas County District s Attorneys Ofice to dismiss at least 60 cases involving the two men.

Llewellyn and Dillon were accused of lying in a drug bust that happened in December 2011 at a Red Bird area apartment complex. Both were on restrictive duty while under criminal investigation.

The men claimed they found drugs, cash and a gun inside an apartment, but in a rare ruling, a Dallas judge questioned their credibility. After listening to several witnesses, the judge ruled ...there is doubt as to whether any illicit drugs that were alleged to have been found belonged to arrestee, Melvin Williams, as opposed to having been planted .

After their termination, the Dallas County District Attorney s Office issued a press release.

The District Attorney s office has been reviewing cases that have been filed by these officers and dismissed 60 cases that these officers were directly involved with. The Public Integrity Division is continuing a review of arrests and cases filed by these two officers, and appropriate actions will be taken with those cases, if necessary."

The DA s office is expected to make another announcement on its review next week.

Llewellyn and Dillon are expected to surrender.News 8 contacted their attorney, but we have not received a response. The case against them will be sent to a grand jury.

Also on Friday, Chief David Brown suspended Lt. Regina Smith for five days without pay. The disciplinary action comes after an investigation into Smith s website Big Rush In . It was named after her husband, Sr. Cpl. Norm Smith who was killed in the line of duty in 2009.

The site, which has been taken down, showed Smith in videos rapping and dry firing a revolver. She also criticized DPD on the site, claiming the department didn't support her enough after her husband's death.

News 8 called Smith for comment, but she did not return our phone call.

Other actions against officers included:

  • Richard Adams was fired after being accused of trying to punch an off-duty officer at a Dallas bar.
  • Lawrence Jamme lost his job after he was allegedly involved in several drinking incidents. One involved a crash.
  • Joshua Vaughn was also fired after an internal affairs investigation found he misused city equipment.
  • Brown also suspended Sonya Killebrew for 30 days without pay after she was accused of hitting her 11 year old son with laptop cord. She was not indicted by a grand jury in that case.
