DALLAS Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray lent a helping hand to the community on Sunday, handing out backpacks filled with school supplies during his foundation's first back-to-school event.

Murray partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters for the event at the Albertsons supermarket in the 10200 block of Northwest Highway.

'This is one of our first deals that we're doing, the back-to-school program,' Murray said. 'We're trying to get the kids as many supplies as they can when they start school paper, pencils, backpacks, folders whatever they need to help them be successful come school.'

The DeMarco Murray Foundation Back-to-School program benefitted 100 kids involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters.
