DALLAS Michael Laurence Browne led police on a chase through Dallas before ending up on a runway at Love Field.
Now there is new information about the man accused in that wild pursuit on August 19.
Courtney Kenny remembers the fear of being robbed at knife point. In the same hand he had a knife under my throat and he was trying to reach for my bag at the same time, she said. As soon as he got in my car, he had his elbow to my windpipe, and in the same hand he got the knife under my throat and he looked at me and said, 'Don't scream or I will kill you.'
Kenny fought back.
I was able to unscrew the mace on my keychain, and I sprayed him with pepper spray, she said.
That scared her attacker who police now identify as Michael Laurence Browne.
Browne is the man who led police on a that chase through Dallas before crashing through a fence at Love Field and onto an active runway.
In documents obtained by The Dallas Morning News, Browne confessed to four robberies in Fort Worth and four in Dallas including Kenny's.
Police said Browne started robbing people in July to pay for his drug addiction
He was very twitchy; that was the first thing that triggered in my head that he was on something, Kenny said, adding that she knows she is fortunate to get away without getting seriously hurt.
