DALLAS -- Jury selection is set to begin in Dallas in the trial of Tammy Lowe.

The Grand Prairie teacher is accused in a hit-and-run crash that killed a 6-year-old boy in January 2013.

John Raidy was crossing the street with his mother and sister when police say Lowe hit him and drove away from the scene. She turned herself in several days later and has been free on bond.

Lowe is charged with Manslaughter and Failure to Stop and Render Aid.

Earlier this year, Lowe's attorney says the public has rushed to judgment without knowing the facts.
