ALLEN-- The AllenSchoolDistrict Board of Trustees is expected to discuss repairs for the district's Eagle Stadium at their meeting Monday night.

The stadium, which was $60 million to build, has been closed after cracks were found in its foundation, along with other structural issues.

The construction company and architectural firm responsible have said they will cover the costs to fix everything -- which could run between $600,000 and $1 million.

At their meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, the board will decide whether to authorize the repair plan. A second resolution on the agenda is the approval of using $2 million in existing bonds for the 'construction, renovation, acquisition and equipment of school facilities' in case the repairs aren't made in a timely manner.

The resolution states the school district then has 'the right to recover amounts spent for stadium repairs from the parties responsible for defects and/or construction problems and failures.'

AllenISD hopes to have the stadium fixed in time for the 2015 graduation ceremony.
