Tavo is a nine-year-old male Catahoula mix in need of a new home.
He was surrendered to the SPCA of Texas on June 16 by an owner who became too ill to take care of him.
Tavo is a very friendly and affectionate dog; he loves to run, likes to listen to soft music and obeys basic commands. He will need a home with children who are 12 or older.

The SPCA of Texas is also starting a new program for Dallas County and Collin County residents on Saturday. It offers free spay and neuter surgeries for pets of Dallas County residents. A microchip special of $15 is also available at the time of surgery.
This innovative program will provide low-cost, high-quality care All surgeries are performed by licensed veterinarians employed by the SPCA of Texas. Proof of up-to-date vaccinations is required for all spay/neuter patients. Low-cost vaccinations are available at all SPCA of Texas clinics.
