WESTWORTHVILLAGE A boy was found safe at a Parker County gas station after he was abducted while playing Wednesday afternoon in Westworth Village, located about nine miles northeast from the center of Fort Worth.

According to a statement from Chief Doug Reim, of the Westworth Village Police Department, authorities received a 911 call reporting the abduction at about 5:06 p.m. According to the caller, the boy was playing in the 5800 block of Coleman St. when an unknown female grabbed him and forced him inside a truck that was driven away from the scene.

The child was later located at a Parker County gas station where a vehicle matching a description given in the abduction was spotted. Authorities did not reveal at what time and date the boy was found. There was also no word whether an arrest was made in connection to the abduction.

Reim said Westworth Village police worked with the Major Case Investigation Team, the North East Tarrant County Child Abduction Response Team, the Weatherford Police Department and the Parker County Sheriff's office.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and are expected to reveal more details at 1 p.m.

The town of Westworth Village is located within the city limits of Fort Worth near the Carswell Air Force Base.
