DALLAS Police said they have found no evidence of a sexual assault at a West Dallas school on Monday.

We reported on an investigation at Thomas A. Edison Middle Learning Center that day after a student said she had been attacked in a rest room.

On Tuesday, the owner of a daycare center next door to the school told News 8 that a girl came in shaking and crying and asking for help. The girl was taken to a hospital for an examination.

On Wednesday, police said they had established no evidence to substantiate that the female student was sexually assaulted.

"The district takes all reports of this nature seriously, and a letter will be sent home tomorrow to parents updating them and assuring them that the safety of our students and staff remains a top priority in Dallas ISD," the district said in a brief written statement.
