KATY, Texas Witnesses now say a woman did not leave her children in the car while she got a haircut. In fact, she and her kids were in a postal store before she was locked out of her car, and it was all caught on camera.

The video of what happened Monday at a parking lot in this Houston suburb went viral, and the man who shot the pictures got it rolling when he claimed a mother left her kids locked inside a hot car.

'She came out of the hair place, from what I've seen,' said Gabriel Del Valle.

But the story took a new turn on Tuesday when other witnesses said this mother isn't guilty of anything.

'It's not like she left the kids in the car... no,' said one.

'It's not like she did something wrong,' said another.

Azir has the surveillance tape to prove it. The video inside Postal Web + Wireless shows the woman walk in with her two kids. You can see them playing in the store as their mom wraps up an errand.

The woman then grabs her toddlers' hands and they walk out together.

'When she finished, she went outside, putting her kids in the car like normal. When she was finished putting them in the car seat, I guess that's when it locked, and that's when everything happened.'

The kids were locked inside the Jeep along with mom's keys.

The surveillance footage shows her walk frantically back in the postal store, asking for help.

At the woman's request, a customer inside the postal store grabs a hammer and breaks the vehicle's rear window as the children are crying in the background. The woman is upset, too.

'She was screaming, trying to let the little girl to open the door,' a witness said.

Finally, the woman slides through the broken window to grab her kids.

The people at Postal Web + Wireless say the mom was not negligent and was not getting a haircut, as one witness had claimed in a report on Monday.

'Like a caring mother ... she watches over her kids, yeah,' a witness said.

She was only trying to get her kids out as quickly as possible after making an honest mistake.

The surveillance video shows the customer who broke the window walk back in with cuts on his arm, followed by the woman and her two toddlers sipping on bottles of water, happy to be out and back with their mother.

'They were OK!,' a witness said. 'She seemed happy and relieved. She came inside because she wanted to calm down after everything that happened.'

Police were never called to the scene, and the Harris County Sheriff's Office is not investigating this incident.
