DALLAS Activists in Dallas and around the world staged what they called a Global Frackdown Saturday demanding an end to the process of 'fracking' for natural gas.

Chanting 'Keep propaganda out of science,' more than a dozen sign-bearing protesters stood in front of the Perot Museum of Nature and Science in downtown Dallas. They want the museum to change the facts in its fracking exhibit at the facility's Tom Hunt Energy Hall.

They say it neglects to mention that chemicals are used in the process of extracting oil and gas from under the earth's crust.

'For this museum of nature and science to present oil and gas propaganda as a science is an outrage,' said Gary Stuard of the Dallas MoveOn Council.

He and his group vow to keep pressuring the Perot Museum until changes are made.

The museum issued this statement:

'The Energy Hall addresses hydraulic fracturing, including the fluids used in the process and the potential ramifications ... Our goal is not to take sides, but rather to provide unbiased information that educates, provokes thought, and inspires minds.'
