FORT WORTH There are a lot of famous shops and restaurants along North Main Street in the Fort Worth Stockyards, but long time resident Hoot Scott is just happy to see one place up and running again.
'The Lonesome Dove is a great establishment,' he said. 'There is plenty of room for everybody here.'
Scott helps run a furniture store that borders Lonesome Dove Western Bistro, the critically acclaimed restaurant that was devastated by fire the morning of August 20.
After 63 days of hard work and determination, the staff will reopen the popular eatery on Thursday.
Chef and operator Tim Love is thrilled, according to his staff.
Love emotionally told News 8 in August that the fire was going to have a big impact on business.
'We don't know the extent of the damage; we're just glad everyone is okay,' he said at the time.
The interior of the revamped restaurant looks similar to the old design, but there are a few new additions.
The kitchen area, where the fire started, was completely gutted and refurbished.
Workers were expected to work overnight to prepare for a lunch crowd on Thursday.
A cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
