FORT WORTH Weather does not appear to be a factor in an accident that saw a Chevrolet Corvette flipping over into a creek from a Fort Worth freeway Sunday afternoon, killing one person and injuring another.

A passing motorist spotted the upside-down sports car from Interstate 30 near the Cooks Lane exit at around 1 p.m. and called 911.

Rescue crews found two people outside of the vehicle; one was unconcious and CPR was administered.

The victims were taken to a hospital. A 40-year-old woman was killed and a 50-year-old man was in critical condition. Investigators said both were submerged in the icy creek before passers-by helped get them out of the vehicle.

No identities were released.
