As the number of cases of pertussis, or whooping cough, continue to rise, residents in Fort Worth and Arlington need to make sure their vaccines are up-to-date.

Out of the 20,000 cases reported statewide, 433 of them are in Tarrant County alone.

Dr. Cedric Spak, an infectious disease specialist from Baylor, joined News 8 Midday live with details on what's being called the biggest outbreak in 50 years.
