The Dallas Cowboys will face the Miami Dolphins in the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game to open the 2013 preseason, the team has announced.

The game will take place in Canton, Ohio, on Aug. 4, the day after former guard Larry Allen and former coach Bill Parcells are inducted into the hall of fame. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones will present Allen.

Playing in the game will also mean the Cowboys will likely play five preseason games as they transition to a 4-3 defense under new defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin.

The NFL has not announced the full preseason schedule.
