IRVING The NFC East showdown in Philadelphia this week is an important game for both the Cowboys and the Eagles as they fight to determine which is the better team in their division.

'We don't talk about first place seventh week into the season; the only time we talk about it is whenever this season finishes on December 29th after our last game,' said Eagles head coach Chip Kelly.

'For us worrying about the rankings and where we're at right now doesn't do anything. It's where you're at the end of the season,' added Eagles quarterback Nick Foles. 'This week, we're playing the Cowboys. It doesn't matter... we've got to win this game.'

Dallas is 0-2 on the road this year, and they haven't won away from home since December 9 last year that's more than 10 months ago.

A win Sunday would not only give the team a winning record again, but put them back alone in first place in the NFC East.

'Every day is for a division lead,' said Cowboys safety J.J. Wilcox. 'You have to out there and fight every day. Our team understands that, and understands what's at stake. We're just going to go out and give it our all, and hopefully come out with a victory.'

'I think at this point in our season, every game is critical,' Cowboys linebacker Ernie Sims said. 'This is a big game a division rival, a hostile environment and a team that we've really got some animosity with.'

Rookies are making their first trip to the City of Brotherly Love, and have been warned that the intensity will be high not just on the field, but from the fans as well.

'Oh I believe that,' said Cowboys center Travis Frederick. 'That's what people have told me. We've played in a couple of tough atmospheres already, but like I said, every road game is tough.'

'They told me they're going to play 'Rocky,' Coach Garrett said that... other than that, I really don't know much about that atmosphere up there,' said Cowboys running back Joseph Randle. 'I've seen every 'Rocky' movie. I might watch them tonight just because you guys brought that up.'

Not a bad movie, but it looks like Sunday's game will be just as much fun to watch.
