DALLAS -- A stretch of U.S. Highway 75 in McKinney was shut down Thursday after a semi truck caught fire.

Police say it happened in the northbound lanes between Melissa and WilmethRoads when an 18-wheeler crashed, causing the semi truck to spill its contents onto the highway.

Crews had all northbound lanes between Melissa andWilmeth Roads shut down for more than 11 hours as they worked to clear the scene. Southbound lanes were also closed for a time.

No one was hurt, but there were pallets and fuel spilled on the roadway.
