EARLIER: IRVING -- Police are requesting the public's help in finding a 76-year-old man afflicted with dementia who walked away from his home Sunday at about 5 p.m.
Irving police say Ignacio Espinoza has difficulty communicating, may not know his name, and speaks only in Spanish. He was last seen at his residence in the 1500 block of N. O'Connor Rd.
His family says Espinoza is in good physical condition and frequently goes on walks with family members, and when he's walked away in the past, he's been found walking in the area.
Due to the length of time he's been missing, investigators have asked for the public's help.
Espinoza is described as a Hispanic male, 5-foot-8, about 170 lbs., with salt-and-pepper hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue-and-white plaid short sleeve shirt, blue jeans, and a baseball cap.
