FORT WORTH No one was injured, but two houses on the south side of Fort Worth were destroyed by a fast-moving fire just before noon Saturday.
There was little firefighters could do to save the two structures in the 500 block of West Kellis Street.
Investigators still don't know how the blaze started, but we're told it began in a house that doesn't have electricity, and that the flames jumped to the house next door.
Fire crews were forced to focus their attention on stopping the spread of flames to additional buildings.
"We had two structures fully involved at the same time, and a third structure threatened," said Division Chief Bobby Tatum. "We went defensive to prevent the third structure from being exposed."
That third structure was an auto repair shop. Damage there was minimal but the two houses were a total loss.
