The National Weather Service says dozens of reporting stations across North Texas have measured two inches or more of precipitation since the rain began falling on Tuesday. Here are the totals as of 6 p.m. Wednesday:

  • Greenville: 4.0"
  • Decatur: 3.94"
  • D/FW Airport: 3.49"
  • Denton: 3.45"
  • Lancaster: 3.25"
  • Fort Worth 3.06"
  • Alliance Airport:2.9"
  • Dallas Executive Airport: 2.85"
  • Burleson: 2.84"
  • Mesquite: 2.73"
  • Dallas Love Field: 2.51"
  • McKinney: 2.32"
  • Terrell: 2.21"

D/FW also set new rainfall records for January 8 (1.95 inches) and January 9 (1.43 inches).

The 3.36 inches of rain that fell at D/FW over a 33-hour period is more than we saw in the last three months of 2012, when 3.02 inches was recorded.

The rain will be ending Wednesday evening as the storm system moves toward the northeast.
