ARLINGTON-- There is renewed effort to find the person responsible for carjacking, kidnapping and murdering anArlington woman one year ago.

The body of 83-year-old Leona Swafford was found three miles from the crime scene. Her car was found parked at an apartment complex nearby.

Despite receiving 200 tips, the suspect has never been caught.

Friends and family are gathering Wednesday morning at Marrow Bone Spring Park on Arkansas Lane to remember Swafford and reflect on her life.

This weekend detectives will return to the crime scene, hoping to renew momentum in the case.

Police have a vague description of the suspect.He is described as a black male in his late 20s to late 30s. He is 5'11' to 6' with a muscular build.

Police say at the time of Swafford's murder, the suspect possibly had a half-inch Afro and was wearing a light shirt with blue jeans.

Oaks Farms Dairy is offering a $10,000 reward for information on this case.
