DALLAS Firefighters rescued a man after he fell 30 feet into a creek early Friday morning.

The unidentified man tumbled from an embankment behind the Riverpoint apartments in Northeast Dallas around 3:30 a.m.

People living at the complex heard screaming and called 911. Kimberly Harris, a maintenance worker at the apartments, helped Dallas Fire-Rescue personnel find the man.

'At that time they proceeded to go down and use their equipment to get him, and that's pretty mjuch what it is,' he said. 'He was not a resident of Riverpoint; the guy is breathing okay, seems to be stable.'

The man reportedly told police he was being chased when he fell. The man was taken to a hospital, but his condition was not available.
