Thursday's Insider Savings tips range from couponing etiquette to deals on swimming and ice cream.
I've had so many coupon beginners lately to my Web site because of the Extreme Couponing show, so I started an online coupon series that helps you get started. It includes everything from coupon lingo to where to get coupons, how to use them and how to shop each store.
So today I'm going to start you off with some basic coupon etiquette tips:
First, only use original coupons. It's illegal to print coupons and only hurts the store you are getting the product from.
Use only one manufacturer coupon and one store coupon per item.
It's unethical to use a coupon for a product or service which it isn't intended for.
All coupons have expiration dates.
And finally, don't clean off the shelf on a good deal; it's kind to share the wealth a bit.
Coupons are also great to use at restaurants. I never leave home without them.
There was a recent offer on Coupons.com for a buy one, get one free meal at Furrs Cafeteria. And you can get one free sundae dasher at Carvel Ice Cream with a printed coupon, good through September 30.
And don't forget about all the hot photo deals. Snapfish has been offering 99 prints for 99 cents; that offer ends today.
