KANSAS CITY, Kansas Robert Ramberger was driving in Kansas City, Kansas Friday when he saw a shocking sight on an area freeway: Another driver was throwing kittens out of a fast-moving car.

The Good Samaritan quickly pulled over and managed to rescue one of the animals.

On Saturday, Ramberger shared a heartwarming reunion with the tiny kitten named Rambo.

'Yeah he took a rough ride. The car was going like 75 when he threw this little sucker out, man,' Ramberger said. 'I think they were opening their door and throwing them under the car.'

He pulled over to the shoulder and got out of his car to try to save one of the two kittens.

Ramberger grabbed the and brought him to the Humane Society of Greater Kansas City. It took workers about an hour to ge the frightened kitty out of his car.

'He was pretty banged up, although I would say remarkably in one piece for a kitten that had been thrown out the car on highway speed,' said Humane Society spokesman Keith Weidenkeller.

With no broken bones and only a few bumps and bruises, Rambo will soon be ready for a loving home.

'The reason that we exist is because of people like Robert in the world who care about what happens to animals, and how we treat them, and how that reflects on who we are as people,' Weidenkeller said.
