FORT WORTH A terrifying home invasion in Fort Worth Monday morning ended with a police tactical team operation a few hours later.
Two sisters 17 and 19 years old said they were preparing for school when robbers came through the front door of their home on Oscar Avenue.
They said one man told them to sit and be quiet or 'nothing good would happen.' Then he raised his shirt to expose what looked like a crowbar.
The girls were not hurt as two or three people including one woman made off with TVs, phones and other belongings.
A short time later, police spotted a suspect vehicle near a home on Northwest 25th Street. One man was arrested after running from officers.
Police said others in the house surrendered, except for one man.
SWAT officers supported by a robot and armored vehicle entered the home about an hour later and took one man into custody. It's not clear how many suspects were arrested.
A detective later told the victims that even though the arrests came quickly, the stolen items had already been sold.
The young victims said they were frightened, but stayed calm during the home invasion.
