The body of a man who disappeared Saturday during a fishing tournament at Lake Ray Roberts was recovered on Sunday morning.

Cooke County Game Warden Darla Barr said 29-year-old Gabriel Carter of Pottsboro went missing around noon Saturday in the middle of the eastern arm of the lake north of Jordan Park.

Carter's body was recovered in about 25 feet of water west of Wolf Island.

Game wardens from Denton and Cooke counties, the Denton County Water Patrol, Lake Ray Roberts State Park officers and the Lewisville Fire Department dive team all participated in the search and recovery effort.

The cause of death Carter's death has not yet been determined by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's office.
