IRVING -- The body of an elderly woman was found in the rubble after a two-alarm house fire Tuesday night in Irving.
The Dallas County Medical Examiner will have to determine if the woman was killed by the fire in the 3700 block of Hidalgo or was already dead when the blaze broke out.
Multiple 911 calls reported the fire at about 9:40 p.m. Tuesday, and as many as 34 firefighters were on scene at one point.
Firefighters stayed overnight to make sure the fire was extinguished, and state fire marshall officials will be coming in Wednesday morning to investigate.
The woman's name has not been released. She's believed to be the only person who lived in the house.
