DALLAS Sunday morning's White Rock Marathon will go on even if it rains.

Organizers told News 8 they will only cancel in the event of life-threatening weather, and WFAA meteorologist Steve McCauley said that is not in the forecast.

Runners attended an expo at Fair Park on Saturday to pick up any last-minute items for the 26.2-mile race.

More than 25,000 runners from 15 countries are expected to take part in the annual event.

The temperature at race time is expected to be in the 40s, and will be dropping as the day progresses.

Medical teams have been adding extra warming supplies like blankets and towels to treat runners who may be standing around in possibly wet weather for a while.

The White Rock Marathon will be broadcast live on WFAA Channel 8 and on from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Sunday.
