DALLAS -- Most major roads in Dallas are clear for motorists, but there are still icy spots, and many side streets are solid ice.

This will be one of the coldest December days in North Texas in 15 years, with the region remaining frozen solid until Sunday afternoon, when the mercury is expected to briefly rise above 32 degrees, only to plunge again on Sunday night.
