In six days, Americans can start signing up for health insurance plans as a huge part of the Affordable Care Act takes effect.

Four types of plans will be offered in the marketplace, which the government calls the metallic plans: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum.

Dr. Dan McCoy, the chief medical officer of Blue Cross Blue Shield, joined News 8 at 4 to talk about the difference in between the plans and how to determine which one is best for you.
