FORT WORTH Authorities on Tuesday identified the two women and young boy who were gunned down at a home in east Fort Worth on Monday.

Chanice Reed, 21, her mother Annette Reed, 39, and 10-year-old Ed McCuin were killed when a gunman, said to be the younger Reed s boyfriend, opened fire on Monday night. Chanice Reed was eight months pregnant. Her child did not survive.

The suspect, identified as 22-year-old Amos Wells, is said to have arrived at the home in the 2900 block of Pate Dr. at about 6:15 p.m. on Monday to confront his pregnant girlfriend. Witnesses said Wells shot Annette Reed first on the porch. He then went inside and gunned down McCuin, police said. Next, he shot and killed his girlfriend, said Fort Worth Ofc. Sharron Neal.

On Tuesday, grief-stricken neighbors and family member embraced, unable to wrap their minds around the horrific act.

"He went inside to kill that baby. He shot that baby three times," said neighbor Felicia Parker-Bailey. " Ed loved his sister. He loved his sister."

Neighbors say Ed McCuin was a happy boy, headed into fourth grade at S.S. Dillow Elementary. He loved riding bikes with Felicia Parker-Bailey's son.

"My son is very upset," she says, "He said, 'My bestest friend in the world is gone. Who am I going to play with?'"

Chanice Reed was nearly was nearly eight months pregnant. Police say Wells was the unborn child's father. Neal said Wells turned himself in to Forest Hills police, telling officers he had done something bad. He offered no motive.

According to criminal records, Wells was arrested for family violence in 2008 and 2011. He is now jailed on a $2 million bond, charged with capital murder.
