DALLAS - Some Dallas ISD teachers aren't taking their new, longer workday in stride.
A protest began at 5 p.m. Thursday outside DISD headquarters, with teachers wearing bandit-style masks and carrying signs chanting in front of the building.
A few weeks ago, the school board approved a measure extending the teacher workday by 45 minutes without any added pay.
Thursday night, DISD trustees will receive hundreds of petitions against the idea. But as of now, the DISD board has no plans to reverse the decision.
