Arlington police confirm they have a tip from the Ennis Police Department about the Amber Hagerman kidnap-murder case.

But investigators say they are not yet sure what it means.

As News 8 first reported Monday night, the tip came during a separate investigation being done by Ennis police on an unrelated child pornography case.

Ennis police claimed there was a person of interest in Amber's case that investigators were looking to interview.

Arlington Deputy Police Chief James Hawthorne said they still have not scrutinized that information.

Amber was 10 years old when she was murdered more 15 years ago in Arlington. Her killer remains at large.

We have linked a recording of our interview with Ennis police in the sidebar of this story.
