Whatever Works is a wickedly funny adult comedy starring Larry David as a cynical, arrogant, New Yorker who befriends and then marries a southern runaway.

That's right, an older-man younger-woman scenario that starts out simplistic and then spins into a delicious, outspoken, irreverent, circus-like comedy.

Woody Allen writes and directs another winner that is wonderfully acted by Larry David, Evan Rachel Wood, and Patricia Clarkson.

By the end of this movie, I was laughing myself silly, and after Vicky Christina Barcelona and Whatever Works, I'm happy to say Woody Allen is back making clever, insightful movies.
