GRAPEVINE-- Police say a woman's boyfriend has been arrested for assaulting her and shooting a man who tried to intervene at a Grapevine apartment complex.

Officers were called to the Camden Riverwalk Apartments in the 3800 block of Grapevine Mills Parkway around 10 p.m. Tuesday. They found a 32-year-old woman with a head injury and a 42-year-old man who had been shot.

Police say the woman's boyfriend, 36-year-old ArronWilliam Lephart, was assaulting her when another man tried to stop him. Lephart allegedly shot the man and drove away from the scene.

The man was flown by helicopter to JohnPeter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth. The woman was taken to BaylorGrapevine Hospital. Neither of the victims have life-threatening injuries, police say.

Highland Village police found Lephart and arrested him. He has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He is currently in police custody with a total bond of $100,000.
