Tonight, we celebrate our nation's heroes -- those at home and aborad -- on this Memorial Day weekend. In this broadcast, we will share stories of sacrifice and healing.

For so many of us, Memorial Day has become an unofficial start to summer rather than a time for reflection.

That's why two former Navy SEALs created Carry the Load, a non-profit organization dedicated to restoring respect and honor on Memorial Day.

Each year, Carry the Load goes on a walk across the country to spread the message and share their stories.

The march starts in upstate New York, step-by-step coming closer to Dallas, where volunteers will walk for 20 hours and 14 minutes, ending on Memorial Day.
