University Park police on Thursday issued two sketches of suspects who may have accosted female SMU students in two separate incidents.
Department spokeswoman Lita Snellgrove said the incidents occurred on Sept. 27 and Sept. 30. During the first, a man approached a female student at 3 a.m. in the 3400 block of Normandy and attempted to grab her arm. The student screamed and ran away.
She told police the man was black, six feet tall, had a 'muscular build' and was in his 20s. he was wearing a white polo shirt with khaki shorts and brown shoes. The following Monday, a man approached another student at 3:30 a.m. in the 6200 block of Hillcrest.
The suspect made suggestive comments to the woman and then got within arms reach, Snellgrove said. She then 'became agitated and demonstrative' and caused the man to flee. He was last spotted about a half block away 3400 block of Asbury Ave.
That man was described as between 18 and 21 years old with a slim muscular build. He was black and stood between six feet and 6'3'' tall. He was clean-shaven and wore a white and red lettered SMU baseball cap.He had shorts on and a long sleeved button down shirt with the sleeves rolled up.
