TARRANT COUNTY Firefighters in far northwest Tarrant County battled a stubborn house fire on Tuesday afternoon.

The first alarm at the two-story residence in the 4500 block of Wind Hill Court went out around 3:30 p.m. Those units quickly called out a second and third alarm to battle the blaze as flames shot through the roof and extra water was trucked in to the site.

The fire was quickly consuming the 5,500 square foot residence near Eagle Mountain Lake that was built in 2003.

It was not immediately known whether anyone was injured.
