DALLAS - A Dallas family is going into the tank tonight - the Shark Tank on ABC.

Two school-aged sisters and their mother, who started a jewelry company with $5 million in sales, will compete for investment dollars from the likes of Mark Cuban.

It's a big moment for 16-year-old Maddie Bradshaw. She s the company president. Margot, 11, is vice president.

Together, they design and make jewelry from bottle caps.

I started out making them using bottle caps from my uncle s old fashion coke machine, said Maddie Bradshaw.

And now it's a polished operation, according to their mom, Diane Bradshaw.

This is how our business first started, she said. These are the magnetic, interchangeable, bottle cap necklaces.

Maddie is on to writing books, helping kids start their own business.

I get e-mails from little girls all the time telling me they want to start their own business, she said. So I put all of their questions into this book.

No word yet if M3 Girl Designs will get the investment they're looking for on Shark Tank.

But it doesn't hurt that they were asked to apply.

We felt like we probably took our business as far as we could take it, Diane said. And we were looking for outside investors who could give us the contacts, and hopefully give us some global distribution.

But either way, if they inspire other kids to start businesses, they say it's all worth it.

Shark Tank will air Friday at 7 p.m. on WFAA.
