I guess I'm one of the few, but I'm still trying to figure out why so many people are so upset about this new health care bill.

Disagree with it? Sure.

Think it's a waste of money?Okay, but Congress does that all the time.

And now trying to get insurance for families who need help? This is the issue that makes us take to the streets?

We've been giving up our privacy and personal rights on a regular basis since 9/11, and health care means the government is taking over?

So many of the people who are complaining the loudest about government health care are mad only because they're concerned about their Medicare -- which, last time I checked, is a government health plan.

We are the richest country in the world (as broke as we supposedly are). The combination of the money we do have... and the values we still believe in as a country... we are the richest country in the world.

And is it not possible -- in this country -- to help those who can't live the life so many of us do?

Are there people who abuse the system and refuse to take advantage of the opportunities this great country offers?Of course there are.

We have cheats and crooks everywhere you look, and a lot of them wear suits, live in big houses, fly on private jets and complain about the money we spend on health care.

But we all have questions and some doubts about this new bill, and rightfully so.

Mine is this: It's a law now you have to buy health insurance... just like the law that says if you drive, you have to buy auto insurance.

I've lived in Texas 30 years now... been involved in three accidents... and the next guy who runs into me with insurance will be the first guy.

I think we need a bill, and let's reform that.
