The Rascal Flatts will take stage at the 40th Annual Cattle Baron's Ball, which has raised millions for the fight against cancer and search for a cure. Last year alone, the event raised $3.8 million.

This year, the Cattle Baron's Ball used its site to share personal stories of courage from those who have battled cancer and those helping to find a cure.

Co-chairs Mary Gill and Brook Shelby joined News 8 Daybreak Wednesday to share their own stories.

This year's event will take place Saturday, rain or shine. If the sun is out, the event will take place at Southfork Ranch. If it rains, it will take place at the Dallas Convention Center.
