The Cowboys are in a wait and see mode for now, trying to give Tony Romo time to heal up.

The bigger issue is his punctured lung. From all accounts, it is not as bad as it sounds. The puncture is considered small, but Romo still was not able to work out.

Romo was on the practice field Thursday, but he could only watch.

After saying earlier in the week that he thought Romo would play, Cowboys Head Coach Jason Garrett was a little more conservative.

He said Romo's situation is day to day.
