Q: Many of the women reporters are dressed in sleeveless tops/dresses in the dead of winter and cold. Why is that? Don't you have a professional to advise the proper dress for on-camera viewing?
A: Thank you for the email. Sometimes, television studios can be rather schizophrenic environments. Due to the nature of the gear, it must be kept cold to work at maximum level. And when all the lighting equipment is on, it can become very, very warm. For those of us who spend extended hours in the studio we carry coats one minute, and then (in the case of the ladies) may go sleeveless the next.
Don't know if that helps explain the situation, however we hope it provides some perspective. Thank you for watching WFAA, and taking time to write.
