The first freeze warning of the season has been issued for North Texas. It includes all of Dallas-Fort Worth and is in effect from 9 p.m. Tuesday until 10 a.m. Wednesday.

We're forecasting 30 degrees for Wednesday morning, and many areas will drop into the 20s.

It will be the region's earliest freeze since 2000. The average first freeze doesn't happen until November 22.

Last year, the first freeze in North Texas was December 10.

And in case you were wondering, the earliest-ever recorded freeze for Dallas-Fort Worth was on October 22, 1898.
