ARLINGTON Arlington police on Thursday arrested a third person in connection with a double murder at an apartment complex on the city's north side last week.

On Sept. 7, police got an emergency tip that two people were dead inside an apartment in the 2100 block of Madison Drive, just northwest of the intersection of Lamar Boulevard and Collins Street. Inside were the bodies of Mack Torres, 31, and Aracely Charles, 31. Both were dead of apparent gunshot wounds.

On Sept. 11, Juan Carlos de Jesus, 24, of Irving, was arrested and charged with tampering with evidence. Arlington resident Anibal Hernandez, 20, is charged with capital murder, said spokeswoman Tiara Richard. DeJesus is being held on $50,000 bond while Hernandez is jailed on $250,000 bond.

On Thursday, Euless resident Miguel Trevino was arrested in Houston by U.S. Marshals. He is now in custody at the Arlington City Jail with $100,000 bond. He has been charged with capital murder.

Police have released scant details about the investigation, including what tied the suspects to the murders. Their mugshots have not been released because investigators must conduct photo lineups.
