Thank God the first week of school is over.

The kids got it right, but I'm not so sure some of the adults should pass.

It's this week's Uncut commentary.

If you're a parent, you spend your whole life warning your kids don't talk to strangers, steer clear of "stranger danger."

So it should come as no surprise that this week when "stranger danger" showed up at the curb in front of the house, driving a van or a town car instead of a yellow bus, some of the kids and a lot of the parents were hesitant to go along.

I'm not blaming the drivers, they were doing what they were told.

Some officials claim parents were notified. That may be true, but obviously it was not enough.

In this day and age of Amber Alerts and missing kids, it's going to take a whole lot more than a letter in the mail to convince me to put my child in a car or van with plastic sign and a stranger at the wheel.

They claim they've put on their thinking caps, and worked it all out.

We'll see come Monday.

Those are my thoughts, send me yours at jmccaa@wfaa.com.
