A strong cold front will move through North Texas on Wednesday night, bringing record cold temperatures to North Texas by Friday morning.

This system will also bring rain to the area, but amounts will be very light.

The bigger story will be the drop in temperatures. Wednesday's high will climb to 85 degrees; on Thursday, we will struggle to a high of 51.

By Friday morning, readings will drop to 39 degrees. The record low for May 3 is 41 degrees, a mark that was set in 1954.
